Christmas Greetings from Dignity for Daughters!
Thank you so much for your support, both in prayer and financially. We have had so many successes this year and have you to thank. Now that 2023 training to all Diocese schools is complete, we branched out to make presentations to some of our unpartnered Parishes. Above are a few of the girls from Pawaga, a rural Maasai village in the Iringa region. You can also see our trainers, Natihaika, Anifa and Atu. As always, flexibility was necessary. On arrival, the entire congregation awaited them! Four separate groups were trained in 3-hour education sessions: young girls, boys, children, and parents.
A milestone was reached when the sewers completed their 1000th kit! Natihaika’s office is stacked high with kits ready for the next presentation.
Izzy John, our summer intern, is back at Harvard and we are pleased to tell you she continues to be very involved with DFD. Please check out our website for a link to Bonfire and get some DFD swag – a great present any time of year!
As we reach out to more and more girls, our need for monetary donations to cover the cost of kits continues to rise. Thus, we are sending a shout-out for a Call to Action. We are currently working on grant applications and would love to partner with you! Please let us know if your congregation or any organization with which you are a part has a fund to which we can apply.
